questions about my services and working with me. This FAQ section
will clarify some of the answers.

What makes you different from others writers and consultants?
My perspective is different from most writers. First, I am more than a writer.
I bring strategies and creative skills, B2B technology experience and expert
copywriting abilities to make your marketing content a success.
I understand what it takes to connect with buyers. I’ve worked for and with
B2B technology companies in many divisions for over 22 years. As a result,
I bring to you hands-on experience working with prospects and customers.
It’s important to have an understanding of the potential concerns and
needs of both the company and the customer. I have experience in and I’m comfortable collaborating with marketing and sales through product development and engineering, customer support and training. I've worked closely with clients during pre-sales, beta cycles, support and trainings, as well as being a customer myself. This gives me a competitive edge in helping you craft content that resonates with B2B buyers.
Having worked with start-ups and multiple product launches, I'm drawn to new products and services. This gives me the flexibility and drive to get up to speed quickly on new projects.
What education and training have you received?
I’ve received a BA degree in Computer Graphics, from Carnegie Mellon
University in Pittsburgh, Pa.
To be on top of my game, I continually study the master copywriters,
advertising and marketing experts and new technologies.

How do you work?
I work very independently. However, I'm here as your partner and in
your best interest. When you succeed, I succeed.
You are very busy and your time is valuable. Therefore, I will only contact you
when I need something that I can't locate or have a question I can't answer.
It will not be cost effective to hire me and to micro-manage the content process.
My job is to free up your time to spend on other priorities. To begin, I work with
you on your objectives. Then I provide you with an outline of the project, status
and review and approvals so you know where we are along the way. My job is to
make sure we are meeting your objectives.
I’m in California and you’re in New Hampshire. Can we still work together?
Yes, I work with client’s long distance. In a world where we are always
connected either by phone, email or video calls, geography is not an obstacle.
I can work with you wherever you are. We can do everything via phone, the Internet and postal and express mail services.
What is your process?
I follow a 5 step proven approach to make sure the project stays on track
and for you to know the progress. You will receive a copy of my 5 Step
Trigger Process if you should decide to work with me.
Can you do the design, too?
Yes, I can design your layout. I use the Adobe® Creative Cloud.
See the Client Samples page for examples of my work. However,
extensive design projects should be given to professional designers
and I would be more than happy to work with them in copy integration.
How long will it take you to write my copy?
It depends on the scope of the project and what needs to be written.
I like to ask for 2-3 weeks minimum if it requires extensive research,
interviews and background materials. This gives me time to research,
polish, edit, and revise until it meets your copy needs.
Copy for content such as complex white papers often require more time,
due to research, interviews, feedback, etc.
However, if you have a rush job, please be sure to contact me. I’ll
assess your needs and determine if I can meet your deadline. If I take
on the job you will have the copy on your desk by the deadline.
I guarantee your satisfaction.
Do you quote by the project or hourly?
In most cases I quote a flat project fee. I feel I can supply you with
a higher quality product by not focusing on the hours a project will take.
If I need more time to make it great, I can do so.
I’m not your typical “hourly rate” copywriter. I’m not the cheapest, or
the most expensive. But what I can guarantee for you is what your
buyers want from you. And that is value in growing your business
and trust to help you succeed.
I follow strategies for best results, not just write copy. Before I write
a word I need to know such things as your objectives, background
information on your product or service, your ideal buyers challenges
and desires, behaviors and language, competitive difference and more.
Without these triggers the chances of your copy being successful are slim.
What are your rates?
Each project has different objectives and tasks and is priced accordingly.
I supply you with a proposal on pricing, time estimate and completed
elements of the project. My fees are based on several factors. Such as,
type of copy you need, the scope of the research or interviews needed,
the requirements, the call to action, the results you want to achieve, etc.
My fee only changes if the project changes beyond the original proposal.
Can I expect you will meet deadlines?
My clients find me extremely dependable and dedicated. I follow a proven
approach to be able to complete projects on or before time to meet
However, there are circumstances that may result in a delay that are
out of my control. Such as, changing objectives after the start of a project,
interview schedules delayed, reviews and approvals not meeting projected deadline times. If it looks like a due date will need to be changed, I’ll let you
know as soon as possible.
What if we want you to revise the copy?
I include 2 sets of requested revisions. These are included in my flat
rate fee in my quote. The revisions must be requested and assigned
within 30 days of your receipt of the copy.
The conditions include the following:
The revisions do not include a change in project objectives or format
that we agreed upon. However, if the project objectives or format does
change after the project is in progress, additional charges will be re-quoted
and billed. The reviews need to be completed within the specified time to
avoid a possible delay in the deliverable for the deadline.
After the second revision, additional revisions are billed separately.
My goal is to craft great content for you and your company that gets
results. Most of my clients are very pleased and enthusiastic about my copy. However, if you are not completely satisfied, I will be happy to revise the
copy at my expense and to your satisfaction. All I ask is for you to tell
me exactly what needs to change and why it isn’t right.
Do you guarantee your work?
In the case of direct response copy or lead generation, I can’t predict or
guarantee how many responses, leads or inquiries you will get. Actually,
no reputable copywriter can or should.
However, I can guarantee you will be more than satisfied with my work.
If something is not just right, I will fix it to your satisfaction.
What are your terms of payment? Do I have to sign a contract?
A signed proposal agreement outlining the price, the project details, as
well as payment terms and conditions is required prior to the start of a
project. I require 50% deposit payable prior to the onset of the project.
The remainder is payable by company check at the time of the final approval.
What happens if we decide to terminate the project?
Occasionally, projects change direction or perhaps even cancelled. Your
deposit will not be returned and you may be charged an additional fee
based on the work completed up to that point.
What are your hours?
ContentTriggers.com is open:
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Fridays. I am on the east coast.
However, I will accommodate my schedule with your company outside
of the EST zone. As well, due to tight deadlines my schedule changes
accordingly. I shut down for all major holidays plus a week in July.
